Care is a response to destruction
Spheres of Care
WAUHAUS x Aliisa Talja:

The three-day event gathers together researchers, artists, activists, and other interested parties. We gather around a wide range of information through lectures, practices, and performances.

In order to take care of others I must take care of myself. How does that happen? The day will offer perspectives and practices on self-care. How can we increase our awareness so that our relations to ourself and others are strong and caring? How can we make space to encounter thoughts, emotions, and needs? How can we act accordingly? How can we balance our own attention between the inner and outer world? The day’s program offers concepts and models for action.

Concluding the day and goodbye

Society and all communities require constant care to function. We are however living amidst a crisis of care. What led to this? What in fact is care? How can we strengthen care; what kind of changes does it require to how we think, in politics, and worldview? During the day we will get acquainted with societal care as a way of thinking, a profession, and civic action.

Healthy soil is the basis of life. But do we understand our dependence on its role in maintaining our lives? How can we care for soil? What kind of actions does it require? What is caring agriculture and what practical ways are there to help it grow on different levels and become more common? During the day we will become acquainted with the state of soil, and the different ways it can be cared for or neglected.
